Saunter Estates was founded by Caleb Scott, an entrepreneur, CPA, and real estate investor based in coastal Maine. With a background in tax and finance, Caleb combines strong business fundamentals with a passion for creating memorable places that bring people together.

What started with small rental properties and local real estate investments has grown into a diverse portfolio of hospitality, lodging, and workforce housing ventures across Down East Maine. Today, Saunter Estates serves as the umbrella for projects including Four Acre Woods Campground, Ferncrest Acadia, Island Adventure Getaway, and Stonington Workforce Housing.

Caleb’s vision is simple: create unique, high-quality places that feel authentic, memorable, and rooted in the character of Maine. From glamping domes and waterfront campgrounds to thoughtfully managed rentals, every project is built around hospitality, long-term value, and attention to detail.
